Everyday People: A Mission Journal

Most of us see ourselves as ordinary, everyday people. But like a lump of clay being turned on a potter’s wheel, if we become centered, shaped, filled and used by God, it’s amazing what God can do through us. “We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7 NIV) When we make ourselves available, God transforms our everyday, ordinary lives into unique and useful jars of clay. “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life–you’re sleeping, eating, going-to-work and walking-around life–and place it before God as an offering.
